The Irish Hat Flapper Style in Herringbone from Mucros Weavers takes its inspiration from the elegant hats worn by modern women in the Roaring ’20s. A symbol of independence and individual style, these hats came to symbolize the dawn of a new era. Updated here in 100% Irish wool tweed in a beautiful grey herringbone with flecks of multi-colored yarn, this hat is a timeless shape and can be worn effortlessly with any outfit whenever the weather starts to drop.
The flapper hat features a decorative buckle and hatband with multi-panel design and short brim, giving ample room in the body and a timeless feel. The back of the hat features an elasticated band for a perfect one-size-fits-all fit, measuring approximately 20 in. without stretching.
Based at the historic Muckross House in the center of Killarney National Park in County Kerry, Mucros Weavers is one of Ireland’s finest textile and apparel manufacturers with over 30 years in business. Every swath of fabric is woven on a nearly 200-year-old loom that forms the centerpiece of the company’s traditional craft workshop. And each piece is designed by master weaver John Cahill, who uses the park’s magnificent beauty to inspire the colors, textures and shapes of everything Mucros offers.
