Inspired by the art of handcrafted traditional wool caps made famous by newspaper boys and girls in the 1920s and 1930s, this hat features a single panel crown, generous body and standard brim with sewn fastening at front. The exterior is woven from 100% Irish wool tweed and the interior features a luxurious quilted lining to make it extra warm whenever the temperature starts to drop. The unique pattern and colors on the hat are drawn from the natural Irish landscape, arranged in a beautiful medium windowpane pattern of blue, browns and green to give you a pop of earthy hues whenever you wear it.

Based at the historic Muckross House in the center of Killarney National Park in County Kerry, Mucros Weavers is one of Ireland’s finest textile and apparel manufacturers with over 30 years in business. Every swath of fabric is woven on a nearly 200-year-old loom that forms the centerpiece of the company’s traditional craft workshop. And each piece is designed by master weaver John Cahill, who uses the park’s magnificent beauty to inspire the colors, textures and shapes of everything Mucros offers.
