This Irish Tweed Flat Kerry Cap from Mucros Weavers is a classic hat that hasn’t gone out of style for over 100 years. Inspired by the caps worn by Irish workers and made famous by newspaper boys and girls in the 1920s and 1930s, this hat features a long brim, ample body and elasticated sides, giving it an instantly recognizable silhouette and everyday practicality.
The exterior is woven from 100% Irish wool tweed and the interior features a luxurious quilted lining to make it extra warm whenever the temperature starts to drop. The lovely blue and navy of the herringbone pattern is accented with orange and red windowpane detail to give you a pop of color whatever outfit you pair it with.
For over 30 years, Mucros Weavers has used traditional spinning and weaving techniques to craft some of Ireland’s finest woven apparel and accessories. Located at Muckross House in the luscious Killarney National Park in County Kerry, Mucros prides itself in taking inspiration from the natural landscape and gardens that surround its craft workshop. Each piece is designed by John Cahill, a master weaver with over 35 years experience in the trade, and is quality tested for comfort and durability.
